Education & Experience
Dr. Simon Walsh is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Mater Private Network in Cork.
Dr. Walsh (MB BCh BAO MRCS FACEM FRCEM FFSEM) graduated from University College Dublin in 2001. Having completed basic training in Surgery, he made the transition to Emergency Medicine and emigrated to Australia where he completed all of his fellowship training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. He worked as a consultant in Emergency Medicine in St Vincent’s hospital, Melbourne, and as a consultant in Emergency Medicine and Aeromedical Retrieval in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, where he was the Director of Emergency Medicine Training.
He relocated to Ireland in 2018 and worked in University Hospital Galway and the Galway Clinic. Since 2020 Dr. Walsh has been a consultant in Emergency Medicine and Retrieval Medicine in Cork University Hospital. He joined Mater Private Network in Cork in May 2025.
