About
Education & Experience
Mr. Jean-Baptiste Néron is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Mater Private Network, Dublin. He graduated with honours in orthopaedic surgery from the University of Tours, France, in 2012, completing his training with an additional diploma in microsurgery.
He began his career at the University Hospital of Tours, where he specialised in foot and ankle surgery and contributed to major studies on ankle arthritis.
He then joined Léonard De Vinci Private Hospital, one of France’s leading institutions, where he advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for foot and ankle pathologies.
In 2024, he moved to Ireland to take up a consultant position at Tallaght University Hospital, performing surgery at Reeves Day Surgery Centre. He is fluent in English and French.
Special Interests
Mr. Néron is a specialist in foot and ankle surgery, with particular expertise in minimally invasive techniques for forefoot conditions such as hallux valgus (bunions) and related pathologies. He also performs advanced arthroscopic procedures for ankle and hind foot disorders, including instability, arthritis, and sports-related injuries.

Mr. Néron has a strong academic background with multiple publications and academic presentations. He is member of the Irish Foot and Ankle Society (IOFAS) and of the French Foot and Ankle Association (AFCP).
