About

Dr. Scott Gall is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Mater Private Network in Dublin.

Education & Experience 

Dr. Scott Gall graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1998. He completed his specialist cardiology training in the Northeast of England, principally at the world-renowned Freeman Hospital.

Dr. Gall was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist, and clinical Lead for Electrophysiology, at the Lancashire Cardiac Centre in 2010 where he developed the regional arrhythmia service for Lancashire and South Cumbria (2010-2025). 

Alongside his work in the NHS Dr. Gall has worked at Spire Fylde Coast hospital (2013 – present) and Spire Manchester Hospital (2019 – present) as Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist where he has helped develop and grow the cardiology service.

Dr. Gall was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Mater Private Network in early 2026, bringing many years of experience to his new role in Ireland. 

Special Interests 

Dr. Gall specialises in the treatment of all abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) especially in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. He also has a strong interest in wellbeing and lifestyle, in the prevention and management of cardiac problems, and the management of arrhythmias in athletes.

Dr. Gall has extensive experience in the ablation of all arrhythmias, especially atrial fibrillation. He has a strong background in the use of many different ablation technologies, having become a world leading expert on the use of laser AF ablation and more recently was one of the first users of Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) in the UK.

Clinical Research & Professional Memberships 

Dr. Gall is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, and a member of the British Heart Rhythm Society. He has published in peer reviewed journals and contributed to several editorials. 

Dr. Gall has presented at national and international conferences and has been invited as faculty at specialist training courses for other consultants. He has hosted a worldwide symposium on laser Atrial Fibrillation ablation in Manchester and has proctored many consultants from around the world in Atrial Fibrillation ablation.
