About

Education & Experience 

Dr. Mark Murphy is a Consultant Radiologist at Mater Private Network in Dublin.

Dr. Murphy MB, Bch, BAO graduated in 2013 from University College Dublin and undertook radiology specialist registrar training at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital from 2017 to 2022. 

Dr. Murphy subsequently completed Fellowships in Cardiothoracic Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital Boston (2021- 2022), Abdominal Imaging and Intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital Boston (2022- 2023), Vascular Interventional Radiology at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, London (2023-2024) and Hepatobiliary Interventional Radiology at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London (2024).  He returned to Dublin and joined Mater Private Network as a Consultant Radiologist in April 2025.

Special Interests 

Dr. Murphy has special interests in vascular interventional radiology, hepatobiliary imaging and intervention, lung cancer imaging and intervention, interstitial lung disease and cardiovascular imaging (cardiac CT, cardiac MRI).

Clinical Research & Professional Memberships 

Dr. Murphy has contributed to clinical research and publications on lung ablation for primary lung cancer and lung metastases. He is certified by the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR), and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Radiology, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland.  He is also Member of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland., Member of the Irish Society of Interventional Radiology, British Society of Interventional Radiology, and Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe.
