About
Education & Experience
Dr. Grace Crotty graduated with honours from University College Cork in 2010. Having completed basic specialist training in Ireland, she completed her higher specialist training in Neurology at the Harvard Neurology Residency Program in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. This was followed by a two-year fellowship in movement disorders and a three-year consultancy post at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She returned to Ireland taking a consultant neurology position at Cork University Hospital and Mercy University Hospital, Cork from 2014. In July 2025 she joined Mater Private Network in Cork.
Clinical Research and Professional Memberships
Dr. Crotty is involved in Parkinson's disease research with interests ranging from prevention, gene-environment interaction, disease modification, and improved care delivery. She has been awarded grants and training fellowships from University College Cork, NeuroNEXT / NINDS, the Parkinson's Foundation, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Brain Foundation, and philanthropy on her research. She co-directs an international conference on 'Planning for Prevention of Parkinson's and Related Synucleinopathies: A Trial Design Forum.
