About

Dr. Purcell graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2002, and later moved to Boston where she spent five years in Tufts Medical Centre completing training as a pulmonary (respiratory), critical care (ICU) and sleep medicine specialist. 

She pursued further training in sleep medicine at Dartmouth College, a world-renowned ivy league institution, completing a fellowship in adult and paediatric sleep disorders medicine, there. 

Upon completion of training, Dr. Purcell was board-certified in sleep medicine, pulmonary, critical care and internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She works full time in The Sleep Disorders Clinic at Mater Private Hospital.

Dr. Purcell treats all manner of sleep problems for both adults and children, including snoring, sleep apnoea, problems of excessive sleepiness (including narcolepsy), restless leg syndrome and unusual nighttime behaviours which interfere with sleep, including sleepwalking, and sleep-related violence.
