About
Dr. Deepti Ranganathan is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Mater Private Network Dublin.
Education & Experience
Dr. Ranganathan graduated from University of Galway in 2013 and completed her specialist training in Cardiology in Ireland. Subsequently she undertook a Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship in Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centres, Toronto, Canada and McGill University, Montreal, Canada. She also attained Area of Focused Competency (AFC) accreditation in Cardiac Electrophysiology and completed a Master’s in Experimental Medicine during this time.
Special Interests
Dr. Ranganathan has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation (AF), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and ventricular tachycardia (VT). In addition to performing ablations, she also implants and manages implantable cardiac devices.
Clinical Research & Professional Memberships
Dr. Ranganathan has presented and published internationally and has an active academic and clinical research interest in cardiac electrophysiology. Her master’s thesis awarded at McGill University focused on stereotactic arrhythmia radioablation (STAR) for ventricular tachycardia, an emerging non-invasive therapy for ventricular arrhythmia. Her broader research interests include standardisation of outcomes reporting and novel ablation technologies. She is a member of the European Heart Rhythm Association and serves as Deputy Editor of the European Heart Journal-Case report.
