Dr. Cara Baker is a consultant general and upper GI surgeon at Mater Private Network in Dublin.
Education & Experience
Dr. Baker qualified with BA (Gold Medal) and PhD in Biochemistry in Trinity College Dublin. She then trained in medicine at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine (now UCL), completing general surgery and upper gastrointestinal surgical training in London and Southwest Thames Region in 2015. She was appointed as a consultant surgeon to Frimley Park Hospital, then for ten years at Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospital as a specialist oesophago-gastric surgeon. She is working at Mater Private Network in Dublin as a general and upper GI surgeon.
Clinical Research & Professional Memberships
Dr. Baker has a PhD in Biochemistry from Trinity College Dublin. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS). She has participated in clinical trials and published extensively in peer reviewed journals.
