About

Education & Experience 

Dr. Benedict Glover is a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Mater Private Network, Dublin.

Dr. Benedict Glover graduated from Queens University, Belfast and following this completed his internal medicine training where he gained his MRCP (UK). He then entered specialist training in cardiology where he gained his MD in the management of atrial fibrillation. He then performed his fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology in the University of Toronto, Canada. He has extensive experience in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and gained a Masters in Medical Education in Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm Society and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. 

Special Interests 

Dr. Glover has a special interest in the management of cardiac arrhythmias and in particular the catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation, Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and ventricular tachycardia. He has written two internationally recognised books in this field which are on the reading list for trainees in the Heart Rhythm Society, and has published several hundred manuscripts on cardiac arrhythmias including some which feature in the American Heart Association Guidelines. He takes pride in patient interactions and explaining complex procedures in an understandable manner.

Clinical Research & Professional Memberships 

As well as his extensive history in publishing two handbooks on how to manage cardiac arrhythmias, Dr. Glover has received extensive funding in international grants for research in furthering the management of cardiac arrhythmias. He is a fellow of all of the major cardiac arrhythmia institutions and is considered an international expert in this field.
