The Mater Private Network, a leader in Irish private healthcare, is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to join the IT team.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Purpose of post:

The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for defining, leading, and embedding a modern, enterprise-wide quality strategy across all digital products and platforms.

Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role will act as the central authority for quality, working in close partnership with Digital Leads across the business to ensure consistent testing strategy, best practices, acceptance criteria, and release sign-off standards.

This role ensures that quality is built into every stage of the product lifecycle, driving product excellence, delivery confidence, regulatory compliance, and outstanding user experience

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in QA / quality engineering, including 3–5+ years in QA leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading enterprise QA strategy across multiple product and delivery teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, RestAssured)
  • API and integration testing
  • CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Performance testing (k6, JMeter, Gatling)
• Demonstrated success partnering with business stakeholders and Digital Leads on quality governance and testing strategy.
  

Desirable:

• Experience in healthcare, financial services, SaaS, or other regulated environments.
• Familiarity with FHIR, enterprise integration platforms, or clinical systems testing.
• Experience establishing distributed QA models and federated testing governance.
  

The salary for this role is €60,000.
