Occupational Therapist

An opportunity has arisen in our Occupational Therapy department for a Occupational Therapist.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Purpose of post:

1. To provide Occupational Therapy services to the clients, patients and their families attending the hospital.
2. Ensure a high standard of Occupational Therapy service is provided for patients under his/her care and ensure that professional standards of practice are adhered to. Intervention as guided by the Occupational Therapy process to include
3. Patient assessment and diagnosis
4. Treatment plan for each patient
5. Monitoring and reassessment of patient progress
   

Professional qualifications, registration, essential skills & knowledge:

1. Possess a University qualification in Occupational Therapy degree from the National Ireland  or equivalent.
2. Be a member of or be eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Occupational Therapy is desirable.
3. Valid CORU registration
4. Have a minimum of one year post qualification experience (desirable)
5. Awareness / Sensitivity toward patient needs.
6. To show initiative and work without direct supervision.
7. Mandatory Training
