Interoperability Specialist
- Hands-on experience with HL7 v2 and FHIR-based integration.
- Practical experience designing, consuming, or exposing APIs, especially REST APIs.
- Experience with InterSystems Health Connect, HealthShare, Ensemble, IRIS for Health, or preferably InterSystems Health Connect Cloud.
- Strong SQL capability, including querying, joins, data profiling, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and performance-aware data analysis.
- Programming or scripting experience in at least one modern language, with the ability to build tools, automate tasks, and solve technical integration problems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical/administrative data flows.
- Experience with JSON, XML, message transformation, data mapping, validation, and interface testing.
- Ability to investigate complex integration issues across applications, databases, APIs, middleware, and external systems.
- Strong documentation skills, including interface specifications, mapping documents, test evidence, and support runbooks.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, clinical stakeholders, vendors, and governance groups.
- Direct experience with InterSystems Health Connect Cloud.
- Experience with InterSystems ObjectScript, productions, business services, business processes, business operations, DTLs, and message tracing.
- Experience with FHIR servers, terminology services, implementation guides, SMART on FHIR, OAuth2/OIDC, or API gateways.
- Knowledge of healthcare coding and terminology standards such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD, dm+d, or local equivalents.
- Experience with cloud-hosted integration platforms and modern DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, environment management, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Experience with data privacy, GDPR, cybersecurity, audit, and healthcare information governance.
- Experience supporting national or regional health data exchange programmes.
- Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant certifications in HL7/FHIR, InterSystems technologies, cloud platforms, software development, date, or health informatics would be advantageous
