The EHR Service Specialist is responsible for supporting the effective governance, development, learning, training, upgrading, and ongoing support of the Meditech Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within assigned departments and functions across the Mater Private Network Health System. This role ensures that EHR services are tailored to meet the unique needs of users, driving adoption, compliance, and proficiency.

Acting as a bridge between EHR users and broader organizational strategies, the specialist facilitates seamless operations, enhances system performance, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. This role is integral to ensuring that EHR users across Mater Private Network health system are empowered with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to optimize their workflows and deliver exceptional patient care. By driving governance, training, and user engagement, the EHR service specialist plays a critical part in the successful adoption and utilization of the Meditech EHR platform.

Skills & qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of strong knowledge and experience in medical oncology and haematology is essential
• Good understanding of Systemic Anti Cancer Treatment (SACT)
• Knowledge about the OECI Accreditation is desirable
• Minimum 1 year of successful experience in a in an IT / data / systems department in a business of sufficient scale and complexity is desired but not essential
• Successful experience in delivering performance improvement initiatives
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
• Strong project management skills with a record of developing and strengthening systems and processes 
• Minimum Level 7 NVQ Financial / Professional / Clinical qualification required
