Senior House Officer - Medical/Surgical
9th April 2026Mater Private Network has an exciting opportunity for Medical/ Surgical SHOs to join our Mater Private Network Team for July 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow the Hospital admissions process by documenting History and Physical examination the designated Initial Medical Assessment Form.
- Assess/review and document findings for patients as requested by the attending consultant and/or nursing staff in a timely and legible manner.
- To review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made and inform the consultant or relevant registrar of any issues or problems.
- Prescribe medications for patients as required as directed by consultant.
- Participate in ward rounds.
- Complete the discharge process with an electronic discharge letter.
- Cover admissions in the Same Day Surgery Unit / Heart Centre Day Unit.
Skills & Qualifications
- Registration with IMC
