Senior Full Stack Developer
16th March 2026The Mater Private Network, a leader in Irish private healthcare, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the IT team.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
Purpose of post:
The Senior Full Stack Developer will play a hands-on technical role in designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and high-performance digital platforms across clinical and patient-facing healthcare systems.
This role requires deep full stack engineering expertise, strong architectural thinking, and a passion for building robust, high-quality software in highly regulated healthcare environments. The successful candidate will contribute directly to solution architecture, hands-on development, system optimisation, and mentoring junior engineers.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years professional full stack development experience delivering production-grade systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue; modern JavaScript/TypeScript; responsive UI frameworks
- Backend: Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), .NET, or Python (FastAPI / Django)
- API Design: REST, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, event-driven messaging
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins
- Proven experience delivering secure, scalable, production-grade software systems
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with FHIR APIs, healthcare interoperability, and clinical data workflows.
- Mobile development experience (React Native / Flutter / Swift / Kotlin).
- Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).
Salary range: €70,000- €80,000 depending on experience.
