Product/UX Designer

The Mater Private Network, a leader in Irish private healthcare, is seeking a Product / UX Designer to join the IT team.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Purpose of post:

The Product / UX Designer will be a key strategic design partner to the Chief Product Officer, shaping the vision, strategy, and delivery of world-class digital products across patient, clinical, and operational platforms.

This role combines deep user-centred design expertise, strong product thinking, and hands-on execution, ensuring that all digital experiences are intuitive, accessible, safe, and aligned with business and clinical outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in product discovery, service design, and experience strategy, while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day UX and UI delivery

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

• Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years’ experience in Product / UX design, delivering digital products in complex environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating:
  • End-to-end product design
  • Product discovery & research
  • Complex workflow & service design
  • High-quality UI execution
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping tools, and usability testing methods.
• Experience designing mobile and responsive web applications.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in healthcare, medtech, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with clinical workflows, enterprise systems, or complex operational platforms.
• Exposure to design systems development and governance.

Salary range: €60,000-€65,000 depending on experience.
