Medical Scientist (Multi-Disciplinary)

We have a vacancy for a medical scientist to join our friendly, supportive laboratory team and contribute to the development and expansion of our medium-sized multidisciplinary laboratory service in Cork.

Although this new post will be initially biochemistry-based, we enable all our medical scientists to maintain and grow their skills and knowledge across disciplines thereby facilitating development and career progression.

Essential requirements 

• CORU-registered medical scientist
• Current technical competence, knowledge and CPD in biochemistry and one other of haematology or blood transfusion or microbiology
• Experience of ISO15189 compliance
• Eligible for membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient-centered and can-do approach
• Flexible, collaborative and committed to achievement of team and organisational objectives
• Dynamic and successful team member
