Clinical Nurse Manager I (Orthopaedic Theatre)

As part of our continuing expansion, we are currently recruiting for a CNMI to cover a period of maternity leave in our orthopaedic theatre team at Mater Private Network in Cork.

As a member of the nurse management team the post of CNMI holds a pivotal role in the coordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. As a role model, the CNMI will promote a culture of open communication and best practice in the delivery of nursing care, providing clinical leadership and support within the multi-disciplinary team.

Candidate requirements

• Registration with NMBI
• Strong values and demonstrable commitment to patient safety and quality
• Minimum three years post graduate acute care nursing experience essential in a theatre setting
• Strong knowledge of orthopaedic surgery
• Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Preceptorship qualification and experience preferable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
