Basic Grade Cardiac Physiologist
28th April 2026An opportunity has arisen to join our Cardiology department on a fixed-term basis until May 2027.
The Mater Private Network is a JCI level 6 Accredited Hospital and is one of the leading private cardiac care hospitals in Ireland. As a cardiac physiologist you will work with a multi-disciplinary team of world-class experts and specialist covering the full spectrum of cardiac conditions.
The Heart and Vascular Department provides a full range of both non-invasive testing (ECG, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring both holter and BP and trans-thoracic echo) .
Continuous education is a focus of the cardiac department with physiologist-, cardiologist- and industry-led sessions.
Application Criteria:
- Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or equivalent. Or possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or equivalent.
- Echo accreditation desirable but not essential. Mater Private supports and welcomes physiologists to undertake professional exams aligned to the needs of the department.
- Echo reporting along with all other cardiac non-invasive testing is mandatory at Mater Private. Training will be provided where necessary.
- IT skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage a high-volume workload
