Bank Exercise Physiologist
14th July 2026Mater Private Network is seeking a highly motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a casual basis at Mater Private Network.
This will be primarily for midweek cover with the occasional weekend shift.
Purpose of post:
- To primarily collaborate in the running of the HealthCheck VO2 max testing service provided by the Physiotherapy Department, ensuring that standards are maintained, including training of physiotherapy staff and maintenance of equipment.
- To assist the physiotherapy staff in providing a comprehensive physiotherapy service to the hospital by providing both administrative support and supervised treatment of patients in accordance with agreed guidelines. This also includes cleaning and tidying the work area and equipment.
- Under the general direction of the Physiotherapy Services Manager and Clinical Specialist, is responsible for education of patients regarding physiotherapy services and issues.
- Work in cooperation with the multi disciplinary team to provide an excellent service.
- To work across all Mater Private Dublin sites including Northern Cross, Cherrywood and Eccles Street.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Possess a university qualification in sports, health and exercise science such as the Bachelor in (Hons) degree from the National University of Ireland or equivalent.
- Must have prior experience and understanding in the area of VO2 max testing
- Have strong communication skills.
- Awareness/sensitivity toward patient needs.
- Discretion and ability to use initiative.
- Previous experience of dealing with patients (desirable)
- Previous administration experience (desirable)
- Previous experience of Microsoft Office (desirable)
- To show initiative and work without direct supervision.
