An exciting opportunity has arisen within our radiology team for a clinical specialist MRI radiographer. This is a permanent, full time position.
Purpose of post:
- The primary role of the clinical specialist MRI radiographer is to provide leadership in the development and delivery of services and structures in the MRI department focusing on patient care and patient experience consistent with the ethos of Mater Private Network.
- A key area of responsibility will be to lead MRI staff over multiple locations to ensure a high standard of service delivery. Continuous quality improvement and the management of change are central to this role.
- Development of the MRI services and structures using a strategic approach through clinical governance, quality improvement and change management to achieve overall organisational objectives for the service
- Develop operational policies, protocols and guidelines procedures to maximize utilisation of resources and ensure systematic audit of such usage.
- Advise on equipment selection, purchase, replacement or upgrading. Management of an equipment management program
Required skills & experience:
- Bachelor of Radiography Degree or equivalent.
- Be CORU registered.
- 5 years desired, not essential.
- Postgraduate Diploma/Master in MRI (desirable).
- The successful candidate should have initiative and excellent communications skills with a motivational people approach.
