About our services
During allergy skin tests, your skin is exposed to suspected allergy-causing substances (allergens) and is then observed for signs of an allergic reaction.
Patient information and advice
- Patients are advised to refrain from the use of anti-allergy drugs (anti-histamines) for at least 96 hours / 4 x24-hr days prior to testing.
- You should expect to attend for approximately one hour.
- No after-care is required.
- Redness/swelling may occur.
