Payment Options

As of 20th September 2021, Mater Private Network will only accept cashless payments. If you have a shortfall in insurance cover resulting in a balance bill or are attending on a self-pay basis, please read payment information below.

As of 20th September 2021, Mater Private Network will no longer be accepting cash, cheques, drafts or postal orders as a form of payment for any procedure or service we provide including admission charges, testing and treatment costs, excess fees and on-site restaurant facilities. This does not apply to the professional fees of some consultants, please check when confirming your appointment.

Our priority at all times is to protect the health, safety and well-being of our patients and staff, with this contact-free payment solution being implemented across the network as part of a series of new infection prevention and control procedures.

Committed to advancing healthcare technology for over 35 years, these new measures are also set to improve overall efficiency for our patients with payments by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted across all Mater Private locations. This will make their hospital admission more streamlined and reduce unnecessary delays for them on the day of treatment or testing.

For any costs not covered by private health insurance, prepayment is now required when confirming the booking for tests, treatments or procedures, and must be received in full 7 days prior to admission.

The COVID-19 pandemic has seen a rapid transition from cash to card as the preferred payment method, with our team of over 300 leading consultants bringing their patients from all over the country to our facilities with the highest confidence in the standard of care we offer. A member of the Finance team at Mater Private Network will contact you to take payment over the phone in advance of your appointment, if you have not already made payment via online portal.

You may receive a text message about this payment change in advance, please note that the sender will be “MATERPRIVAT” and this is a legitimate communication from Mater Private Network.
