Mater Private X-Ray Department held a raffle and table quiz in aid of The Gavin Glynn Foundation last month. The event took place in Doyle’s Pub in Phibsboro and over €3,400 was raised for the Gavin Glynn Foundation to help them continue with their life changing work.
The Gavin Glynn Foundation supports families of children who have to travel overseas for cancer treatment. The foundation strives to take away the financial burden and stress from the families so that they can focus all their time on their child and family. It was set up in honour of a brave little boy who passed away from a rare form of cancer in 2014, this foundation endeavours to help many other children like Gavin and be of valuable support to the families on their tough journeys.
There were 17 teams from different departments within the hospital battling it out on the night and in the end the Mater Private Radiology department team took first place.
