EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT (ED) CLOSURE AT MATER PRIVATE CORK

Due to the unprecedented developments in our country, and in light of the evolving Government preparations in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Mater Private Hospital Cork is temporarily closing its Emergency Department (ED) with immediate effect.

Non-urgent outpatient attendances may also be limited, and further updates will issue in due course. Patients with upcoming elective surgeries / procedures will be contacted in the coming days to advise of any changes to your appointment. These unprecedented measures are being taken to protect our staff and our patients and to position Mater Private Cork to provide support of the prioritised needs of the overall Healthcare system over the forthcoming weeks.

At present, Mater Private Cork is closed to access to visitors. Access at this time is limited solely to staff and patients.

These restrictions are designed to provide the best and safest care for our entire patient population and staff at this time. We thank you for your co-operation.

For enquiries about Visiting Hours and Criteria, please call Mater Private Cork Reception on 021 6013200.

All inpatients in Mater Private Cork have a direct-dial telephone by which family and friends can contact their loved one. We would actively encourage family and friends to contact inpatients by using the landlines, or through the use of mobile phone or video calling apps (such as FaceTime, WhatsApp, etc.) until these visiting restrictions are lifted.
