Speaker: Dr. Johnathan Byrne

Title: "How to develop a successful mitral & tricuspid transcatheter programme".

Dr. Byrne graduated from the university of Bristol in 1995 and underwent postgraduate training in London and Canada. He completed a PhD from the University of London in molecular biology in 2003 and was appointed as a consultant at King’s College Hospital in 2008. He is an interventional cardiologist with a special interest in transcatheter valve therapy, namely TAVI (aortic valve replacement), percutaneous mitral and tricuspid valve repair and replacement. His research interests also include coronary physiology, and out of hospital cardiac arrest. He has a number of national roles, including UK Chair of the EAPCI Valve for life programme.
