Education & Experience
Originally from Barcelona, Dr. Albert Alonso Tello graduated from the University of Barcelona in 2006 and undertook postgraduate medical training and higher specialist training at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (HUVH), which is the largest hospital of Catalan Institute of Health (ICS). He undertook two years of post-graduate training in his subspecialty interests of interventional cardiology in the same hospital, and received accreditation in Interventional Cardiology from the Spanish Society of Cardiology.
After completing his subspecialty training, he was appointed as a full-time Interventional Cardiologist in Mútua de Terrassa University Hospital (2014-2019), in Barcelona. At the same time, he worked as attending Interventional Cardiologist on call, in Dr. Josep Trueta University Hospital, Girona.
Dr. Albert Alonso Tello is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian.
His special interest is in the treatment of coronary artery disease, complex coronary stenting, and the percutaneous treatment of valvular heart disease.
Clinical Research & Professional Memberships
In addition to providing care for his patients, Dr. Tello is interested in clinical research and is co-author of many original scientific publications. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology and Spanish Society of Cardiology.
