The role of the Clinical Facilitator is to enhance clinical practice and development of staff by inducting, supporting and educating qualified Nurses in the delivery of patient care. The Theatre Nursing team also includes student nurses, new graduate nurses and nurses on Adaptation placement.
The Clinical Facilitator will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care in Theatre. He/she must demonstrate excellent work practices and acting as a role model use the necessary skills to educate others through coaching, mentoring and clinical expertise.

- Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- 3 years Theatre Department experience
- Theatre course essential
- Post Graduate Course in Education/Management desirable.
