Basic Grade Medical Scientist – Microbiology
As part of our integrated team of group laboratory manager, chief medical scientist and consultants, this role will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, effective accredited laboratory service for the patients of Mater Private Network. The department is accredited to ISO 15189.
The successful candidate will become part of the microbiology team ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring quality and audit are key drivers in the operations and functions of the laboratory
- Multidisciplinary on-call will be available following training period in each speciality
- Evidence of CORU application is a requirement for this position. Applicants must submit evidence of same
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor of Science Honours Degree
- Evidence of CORU registration
- Excellent communication skills in addition to clinical and managerial experience
