Referrals

Referrals can be made direct to Consultants in their rooms via the normal letter or fax.

The Consultant search facility can help you identify Consultants and their contact details.

For a number of services rapid access is available through referral direct to clinics.  Patients are booked in for necessary scans and diagnostics so that the Consultant has the necessary images in advance of consultation.  All our rapid access clinics are established by Consultants involved in delivering the service and in line with national standards. Electronic Referrals

Health Link is a web-based messaging service which allows the secure transfer of patient information over the internet.  Over 2000 GPs are already using this system and the Mater Private now has a number of results, notifications and referral facilities on the system (click here for more info)
