About your stay About Visiting a patient

Infection Control is of the utmost importance at the Mater Private Hospital. Patient care is at the centre of everything we do and we strive to minimise patient exposure to outside infection.

As visitors, you play a part in helping us keep our infection rates under control.

  • Use a hand sanitiser on arrival at the Hospital
  • Wash your hands or use the hand sanitiser after spending time in a public area of the hospital
  • Please do not visit patients if you are unwell, carrying a cold, flu or stomach bug.
  • Do not send flowers to patients on the St. Joseph’s Ward, St. Benedict’s Ward or in Intensive Care Unit as the water can harbour bacteria
