What is QUEST?

QUEST is the Mater Private’s quality and risk management programme. 

The QUEST Mission

To achieve the very highest quality outcomes in the Mater Private using effective treatments that are safe for patients and staff.

How is the QUEST mission achieved?

“The total team effort is greater than the sum of the parts”.

• Information and action are key components of QUEST.All the safety and quality committees are represented at monthly meetings where information, incidents and indicators are reviewed.
• As problems arise or are foreseen, solutions are created by the QUEST Committee.
• Positive quality initiatives and processes are consolidated.
• These quality processes are implemented through the root and branch of hospital structures.
• The whole process is overseen by the Hospital Executive Team and the Board of the Mater Private Hospital

QUEST: Setting Standards

Standards such as JCI Accreditation, ISO 9000, CPA and HIQA allow the Mater Private to benchmark performance against the top health care institutions around the world.  The standards reward the Hospital for the constant vigilance and adherence to quality processes.
