Comprehensive Health Screening

Your Health Check consists of a number of tests and investigations.

• You will have a choice of male or female examining physician.
• The Mater Private has onsite cardiology, radiology and laboratory facilities – therefore all tests performed on one visit.
• Health Check delivers a service using a multidisciplinary team approach including Health Check physicians, cardiac technicians, radiographers and phlebotomists.
• Procedure and test results are reviewed and reported on by consultant cardiologists, radiologists and pathologists.  Example:- the ECG result is reviewed and signed off by a consultant cardiologist.

 

Health Check offers a choice of appointments Monday – Friday.  Early morning appointments are available to suit individuals who are fasting and to prevent minimal disruption to the working day.

What is the duration?

Your personal health screening will take approximately 2 – 2 ½ hours.   Should you be a female aged 40 + availing of a mammogram and DEXA this programme can take 3 – 3 ½ hours.

Can I claim this expense back?

Health screening is eligible for tax relief.   Log on to www.revenue.ie for a Med 1 form and information on how to claim.

Some insurance companies reimburse their members for health screening – please check regarding your own personal account with your specific insurance provider.
