At the Mater Private Eye Laser Clinic, our main priority and focus is that we can continually assure you of the safest and most advanced techniques for correcting vision. Our team consists of highly qualified Consultant Ophthalmologists who are all fully accredited surgeons, with extensive international experience in the use of Excimer Laser. All our Consultant Ophthalmologists are based here in the Mater Private for follow up care.
Eye Laser Surgery
On the day of your surgery you can expect to be in the centre for 2 hours. This includes a second consultation with your surgeon, pre-operative preparation, the laser procedure and post-operative care. It is not recommended that you drive for up to 24 hours after surgery and you should plan a restful evening with low lighting.
Once you have had the surgery we follow a set check-up program which includes appointments 24hrs, 1 week, 3 months and 1 year post surgery. Our consultants are available on a 24-hour emergency number for the initial post-operative period.
