Health Check is a comprehensive physician led service at the Mater Private, offering you a detailed snapshot of your health in just one visit, taking just 3 hours.

Health Check aims to help people identify risk factors, signs and symptoms of common conditions, which if not detected early could result in serious health issues.

Your Health Check consists of a number of tests and investigations of which you can choose to have carried out by a male or female physician.

As the Mater Private has onsite Cardiology, Radiology and Laboratory facilities, we will be able to accommodate all of your tests in one visit.

    • Abdominal examination

     

    Outline Investigations Performed

    • Full blood count
    • Kidney function tests
    • Bone profile
    • Liver function tests
    • Total lipid profile (cholesterol, LDL & HDL cholesterol)
    • Fasting blood sugar (diabetes)
    • Uric acid (gout screen)
    • Total iron studies
    • PSA (prostate cancer screen for males)
    • Stool analysis
    • Urine test for diabetes, infection and kidney function
    • Electrocardiogram (ECG) – tracing of the heart
    • Chest xray (if clinically indicated)

     

    Additional Tests (additional charges apply)
    Must be requested at time of booking
    • Stress ECG: Records the activity of the heart while exercising on a treadmill. Recommended for men over 40.
    • Calcium Scoring: Screening for early detection of Coronary Heart Disease
    • Vascular Screening: (AAA, Carotid and PVD Screen)
