Dr. John Keaney

Dr. Keaney graduated from UCD medical school in 2004. His cardiology training in Ireland included working in the Cork University Hospitals cardiology rotation, St Vincent’s University Hospital and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. Following his clinical rotations, he completed two years of cardiology research through the Catherine McAuley Centre at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, for which he was awarded a Newman Fellowship in translational medicine from UCD.  

 
He subsequently undertook subspecialty training in advanced cardiac electrophysiology working over two years as a fellow in the cardiac arrhythmia department of Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. 
 
Dr. Keaney’s special areas of interest include atrial fibrillation and catheter ablation of cardiac arrhythmias.
